Martyn van den Hoek, musician in the broadest sense of the word, founder and artistic director of Musik Zentral. Born in Holland. 1st Prize at the Int. Liszt Competition 1986. Studies in Rotterdam, Moscow, Budapest and New York. Worldwide concertizing, teaching, giving workshops (also on posture and movement), masterclasses and lectures contribute to a very active musicians schedule. He made 23 CD's (Naxos). Lately, he took up writing. His first book "Eye and Ear" was released in 2005. "The Visions of Franz Liszt", 4 coloured CD's, will be released in 2011 as a contribution to Franz Liszt's bicentennial celebrations. He taught at the Vienna Academy of Music, later at the Vienna Conservatory. Currently he teaches at the University of Utrecht. His repertoire includes 50 piano concerti and over 50 different solo programs.
Studied in his native town Siegen (Germany), graduated from the music academy in Koln and Vienna, before entering and winning prizes in the worlds most challenging piano competitions such as the International Brahms competition in Hamburg or the van Cliburn Piano competition in Forth Worth, Texas. He currently teaches at the Academy of Music in Graz, fusing improvisation and jazz into the classical educational tradition.
Studied piano, lied accompaniment and chamber music in Utrecht (the Netherlands), Antwerpen and Freiburg. After winning the Jeunesse Competition in Belgrade, he was also awarded the prestigious "Vriendenkrans“ of the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam. Ever since, he was sincerely committed to establish the Department for young and gifted pianists at the Utrecht Conservatory. Recently, he was appointed teacher at the Academy for musical talents Nederland.
Budapest-born pianist Klara Würtz studied at the Liszt Academy with Zoltan Kocsis, Ferenc Rados und András Schiff. As a soloist and pianist and as chambermusic player she has a worldwide career. She often performs in the USA at such famous venues as Kennedy Center in Washington, the Bostoner Symphony Hall , Carnegie Hall in New York and the Ravinia Festival in Chicago. Her energetic and charismatic interpretations of works by Mozart, Schubert, Schumann, Chopin, Liszt, Debussy, Bartok and Rachmaninov were recorded on numerous CD's. Klara Würtz holds a post as a Professor at the Conservatory of Utrecht.
Studied piano with Prof. Kazuko Tsuruta in the Musashino Musik college in Tokyo and learnt the German musical style during her studies with Prof. Wolfgang Manz in Karlsruhe and Prof. Franz Massinger in Munich. Her participation in Punina Salzmann's masterclass in Israel led to her being awarded the 1996 Laureat at the Maria Canals competition in Barcelona. The Japanese Rotary Club gave her the "Paul Harris Fellow" prize in 2001 in recognition of her promising developments. She is the founder of the Wiedner Klaviertrio with members of Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and Trio Elysee Nagoya.
The Viennese cellist Stefan Gartmayer, studied cello and composition in Vienna, as well as in Cologne, Brescia (with Mario Brunello) and Freiburg, where he obtained his Solo Diploma under Christoph Henkel. Stefan Gartmayer won several international competitions such as 1. Prize at the 5th. International Vienna Musiccompetition 1996,at the 17. International Chambermusiccompetition 2001 in Moulin d’Andé (France) and the 2. Prize international Cello Competition in Osaka 2001. He was a principal with the Radio S ymphony Orchestra Wien (ORF) 1999/ 2000. From 2002 bis 2007 he played with the Gewandhausorchesters Leipzig (Vorspieler Violoncello). At the same time, he played with the Leipzig „Ensemble Avantgarde". Since 2007, his working field became the Vienna State Opera Orchestra ( as part of the Vienna Philharmonic).
Viennese conductor and cellist who studied at the Mozarteum Salzburg. Subsequently Dir. Othmar Suitner took him into his conducting class at the Vienna Academy of Music. Since 1988, he has worked as a conductor with the Wiener Kammerorchester, the Wiener Kammeroper, the Radio Symphonieorchesters Wien, the Orchester der Budapester Oper, and the Orquesta Filarmónica Nacional de Caracas. He has special interest in the education of young musicians, with three Youth Orchestras under his guidance;the Orchestra of „Jeunesse-Kindermusikcamp“ Graz,. The Jugendsinfonieorchesters Wien (wjso) and the Jugendkammerorchesters „Camerata con Brio".
Morphing Chamber Orchestra was founded in 2006 by art director Tomasz Wabnic, himself a violin -and viola player. The Orchestra is comprised of young artists from 15 countries around the world (such as Poland, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slowenien, Spain, Hungary and Ukraine). Most of the players are prize winners from prestigious international competitions. The flexibility of the ensembles composition - from duo to symphonic orchestra - define the Morphing Chamber Orchestra of constant evolution and development. |
